Hastings / Teledyne Hastings

Hastings Instruments was founded in 1944 by Charles and Mary Hastings and became one of the early American pioneers in thermal mass flow and vacuum measurement. In 1961, Hastings developed a patented heat-capacity flowmeter design that became the foundation of a major flow-instrumentation product line. Teledyne acquired Hastings in 1968, after which the company became known as Teledyne Hastings Instruments. Hastings continues to manufacture thermal mass flow meters, controllers and vacuum instrumentation in Virginia.
