Applied Materials

Applied Materials was founded in 1967 and grew into one of the world's largest manufacturers of semiconductor wafer-processing equipment. Applied uses large numbers of mass flow controllers in gas-delivery systems for deposition, etch and other semiconductor processes, but it should generally be considered an equipment OEM rather than a traditional MFC manufacturer. MFCs carrying Applied Materials part numbers are often OEM-configured units manufactured by companies such as UNIT, Aera and other established MFC suppliers. For example, an Applied Materials 3030-series part is documented as a UNIT UFC1660 MFC.
