Alicat Scientific specializes in high-speed mass flow and pressure measurement and control. Unlike traditional capillary thermal MFC manufacturers, Alicat became particularly known for its laminar differential-pressure mass flow technology, allowing instruments to measure and control many gases without requiring a single-gas calibration. Alicat also offers MEMS thermal and Coriolis technologies. Halma acquired Alicat in 2010, and Alicat continues to manufacture flow and pressure instrumentation in Tucson, Arizona.
